Conchal Hotel Brasilito Community Projects

We are very proud to be active participants in improving our local community. Many of our guests visit this area to sample the flavor of life in a small, typical Costa Rican town. As such, they are often keen to learn about, or help with some of the difficulties faced in such communities.

Our long term project is provides assistance to our local Brasilito school. Here the teachers work very hard in sometimes difficult conditions with few resources, to provide quality education for the local children. One note worthy achievement was our co-ordination of a visit by Friendship Force International. Members not only  taught classes, but also made substantial donations including providing funding for the purchase of computers for the students and also for building repairs and remodelation.

We invite all our guests to assist in this ongoing project, by bringing a small quantity of pens, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, small paint sets etc to donate to the school (any items of unwanted clothing are also very gratefully received in children or adult sizes). We have seen how a little can go a very long way, and everyone can help!

We also host a yearly Christmas party in conjuction with a small local church, providing meals and Christmas gifts for the children.
